Awesome vehicles and event and I can't wait to see some vids. Thanks again for a great experience!

What about that big red Toyota? /nudge .

I was amazed at how well everyone did in the wet. For the number of first timers we had on the track Friday, there were very few spins, and no major spins. I will say this, mid day, the track felt like it was covered in snot, VERY hard to drive on.

Yeah... I had to work.

How long did you run for and How are your tires and brakes?

I would like to do a track day, but those two issues really concern me.

BTW: I will be doing a clutch job on an old accord... want to come by on Sunday? hehehe

If it was supra, there was three
Mike R. 85 completely restored 5mgte running a HKS original turbo kit
Billy M. With a 7mgte swapped one
Chris P With a built 7mgte swap.

At the drag racing event, there was one,
Donnie S. With a 6mgte car.

Thanks for a great weekend, guys! I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. And who knew.. my car can drive itself out of a muddy corn field!

Thanks! Yes, I was talking about the Celica Supras. I've owned three in the past.

Nice to see that some still run on the track.

Hey guys... Just registered to say thanks for allowing us CelicaSupra guys to come play too.

...rain aside, as a first-timer, that was by far the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel of a car. The track was great, the instructors could not have been more helpful, and being able to really RUN the car to its potential was something I've never been able to do in my prior autoX experiences. I learned a TON (thanks to Brian), know where my car requires attention (needs more brakes/cowbell), and am looking forward to any future TalladegaGP events the SpeedForSale guys put on.

Tom, did you happen to be driving a white mk4? ...if so, I've got some bad news, it's on tape. Click the thumbnail below for three laps in the rain, scooting past a FD, chasing down a Boxter, and watching an MK4 pull a children of the corn, all while doing my damnedest to keep the car going straight...

My Mk2

Rapp showing off his ES100's rain performance...

Mk4 post-ooops...

Here is the link to the entire album for the day, with tons of pics of the C and D run groups (sorry A and B, I was inside drying off)...

Yeah that was me... No worries though. Taking off into a cornfield in my car always beats my average day! Before that turn I was debating if I should let you 2 pass or not! oops
