Hi everyone, just announcing the second annual VIR GT-R track day for Feb 22, 2010. Last year's event, by all accounts, was a smashing success. Over 20 GT-R's traveled from all over the eastern half of the USA to visit one of the best motorsports facilities in the country. The event was incident free, and many of you had the chance to stretch your GT-R's legs for the first time as owners. And to top it off, Modifed Magazine sent one of their top photographer, Jeff Creech, out to cover the event. It was, and still may be, the largest single collection of R35 GT-R's assembled on a racetrack.
I just got off the phone with VIR officials, and they have reserved Monday Feb 22, 2009 for the event. For those unfamiliar with Virgina International Raceway you are in for an amazing experience. VIR's coveted Full Course is a challenging 3.27 mile road course with plenty of safe run-off through most of the circuit. VIR Full Course hosts Grand Am Rolex/GT and Koni races each year as well as many regional and club races. Most drivers consider it one of their favoriate tracks, due to it's flowing, but extermely challenging sections. With lots of elevation change, the world famous uphill esseses, the roller coaster, south bend, and numerous other driver favorites, you are guaranteed to have a great time with us. :cheers:
Event details:
1) Private and exclusive access to VIR's Full Course (two or three run groups maximum)
2) 10 or less cars on track at once (on a 3.27 mile circuit, you are promised wide open track conditions)
3) Professional race car drivers and instruction for ride alongs.
4) 9 Professional Corner Workers (same crew that runs Grand-Am Races)
4) Classroom orientation/instruction session
5) Technical Discussion Forum
6) Lunch will be included if we have at least 25 attendees
7) Cost of event: $425 (same price as last year)

We are expecting between 20-30 GT-R's to attend, so please put your name on the list as quickly as possible. Similar to last year, we'll have professional race car drivers and instructors on hand to provide a safe day for all. With just two scheduled run groups, I would expect no less than 4 hrs of track time which is probvably more than most people can consume in one day.
